For me, London 4-piece Palace remain one of the most under-celebrated alt-rock outfits currently plying their trade. Slightly ironic considering they were once one of the most hyped bands on the circuit.

Their 2014 debut EP "Lost In The Night" received the critical acclaim it so rightly deserved (lead single "Bitter" remains one of my top 10 most played tracks ever), whereas 2015 sophomore EP Chase The Light shined a little dimmer.

Well fast forward 12 months and here we now sit, sparkler's and bobble hat's in hand eagerly awaiting a bonfire-night debut album (well almost - 4th November to be precise but any excuse). Sandwiched amongst the announcement of So Long Forever, we've also seen the first shimmers of material taken from it in the form of "Break The Silence" and "Have Faith".

Mercifully "Have Faith"(you said it boys) is everything that I want to see, hear and long for from Palace - & yes Maccabees fans this means you can now stop crying into your Converse!!

To celebrate the album launch you can also catch the guys across the UK & In the meantime definitely check out their incredibly weird yet truly wonderful cover of Jamie XX's "Loud Places".
