Distant Matter

There's a paradox which occurs within this track that I can't seem to wrap my head around, but is the reason I'm so entranced by this gem.

The drums move in such a hasty manner compared to the cloud-speed motion of the keys and synths in Distant Matter. This paradox creates a journey like feel, especially when we're acquainted with the reverberating sax in the background. I can't help to think of Liquid Drum and Bass when I hear this to be honest, although if anything this sounds like a tribute to the earlier compilations of Cafe del Mar.
