Long ago seem the days when the jazz inspired Portico Quartet were hitting all the right notes. Since the departure of Nick Mulvey to pursue his solo career, the surviving three members have rearranged themselves into the audibly reformed Portico. With a new album (technically a debut album under their new guise) entitled Living Fields, set for release on March 23rd, the trio are proving their musical endeavors haven't been weakened by the departure.

As a preview to what the album will offer, they've released "Bright Luck" featuring their resident vocalist Jono McCleery, and it's a haunting beauty of a sneak peak. Droning 80's style synths are draped around McCleery's ghostly vocals that swathe in and out from their phantasmic cocoon. Portico will be hitting a short European tour in support of the new material and if they can hit the majesty of the record live, here's betting it'll be a pretty special experience.
