RHNO throws r&b and indie into a melancholic yet psychedelic realm on his soulful new release, "Womp Womp".
RHNO (pronounced like rhino) is a collaboration between two friends who have been making music together for 10 years. The nostalgic "Womp Womp" delivers a vibe reminiscent of Prince, while the melodic and sound choices remind us a lot of the iconic Mk.gee. What really snatched my attention, however, was the combination of the sensual vocals paired with these dreamy synths. This combination makes for such a compelling fusion, with the vocals adding a human touch to the shimmering, almost otherworldly production.
