LA trio soft siren and their brand-new debut record 4AM (Oct 23rd) play an important role in my revived love for dreampop and shoegaze. Naturally, I had to spotlight them on Stereofox.
Formed by CASHFORGOLD, Sidewalks and Skeletons, and Michael Coe of Count the Clock, the band brings together three distinct creative voices, held together by Jacqueline's haunting, future-melancholia-type vocals. Think Cocteau Twins meets Mazzy Star with a splash of Lana Del Rey.

"I'll Be Fine" dwells towards the end of the 4AM experience, and it feels like an accurate depiction of modern dissociation- a track about existing like a ghost inside your own life. A soundtrack for those months (and sometimes years) when you don't feel well inside your own shell. I certainly had that in my life.
I love the subtle drums and the washed-out guitars, which feel perfectly situated in the mix, so that Jacqueline's eternal lullaby manages to siren you into an endless loop of listening.
