It's been a while since we've featured baile and this one is so gorgeous, I couldn't wait to share it with you.

Blended with lofi beats, jazzhop, and summer vibes, "El pueblo" is one of the finest examples of Rico Manzano's work. Taken from his Trop!cal LoFi EP, on which he shares:

The idea of the EP is to show that there is another side of the "tropical" world in South America. We are a mixture of rhythms, songs, stories, and people, and that's what I hope to show to all.

Aside from all the beauties, fun, and feel-good atmospheres, this music aims to also draw attention to some of the issues in South America: like colonialism & people's struggles with their liberation, etc.

"El Pueblo" is accompanied by a short documentary video clip, directed by Joaquim Tomé, with the interpretation of ballet dancer Felipe Silva. He tells his story and the difficulties of being a black and gay dancer in Brazil, while exploring his essence and technique in a choreography that unites classic ballet with popular dance moves.
