On "Asleep at the Wheel", vulnerability and tenderness hang from his voice yet in a manner that exudes hope thanks to the contrasting lyricism. Beefy drums, glistening keys, and dreamy synth embellishments bolster the emotive nature of his performance, especially throughout the chorus when the track bursts to life.
