When I tried to search some info on Samica, I found "writing songs not bios" and "brown girl with white girl dreams". Quirky and it definitely made me smile. Please, keep doing that you wonderful person.

Joke aside, Samica is a first-generation US-born Indian American. Raised on traditional Indian music, top 40 hits and r&b, she learned to play the guitar at a very young age and quickly got into composing her own craft, determined to craft her own path into the world of music. I have to say - "Call Me" just blew my mind. The weird blend of Radiohead hopelessness and Jhene Aiko's seductive alternative r&b feel is truly unique. The whole release is wrapped with a sense of loneliness, but not in a sad way. Also, the whole thing is written, recorded and produced by Samica herself. No wonder she found recognition by the guys at Spotify and Apple Music who have featured her on numerous editorials.

Hope this moves you as much as it moved me.
