As you know, we're big fans of the Japanese jazzhop scene, especially the neo-soul guitar side of it.
One of the most talented names there is Shingo Sekiguchi (who's also collaborated/played live with our dear Toshiki Soejima). To celebrate a milestone of 2.5M views, his acclaimed tune "Raincoat" got a makeover from LA producer/multi-instrumentalist Paul Grant (Tom Misch, Kiefer, Braxton Cook).
The result gives the original a new life through a bit of a faster pace, a catchy drum groove, and a woozy sound design.
