Skai Lounge continues to push the boundaries of African dance music, offering more than just good vibes.
The Cape Town native recently wrapped together a few of his singles in a gorgeous EP, which would make any fan of Fela Kuti, KAYTRANADA or Rufus Du Sol smile and dance.
Created in collaboration with Tanaka, Ebony Rising combines the aesthetic of afrofuturism with an indie touch to enchant us with drive and vitality, softened by warm melodicism.
"Porcelain Hearts" is one of my favourite tracks from this release, with its thick drums and stunning synths in combination with Tanaka's gorgeous velvety vocals which breathe soul into the house-driven composition.
