I've cooked the bestest premiere for you today! The ultimate lush and nostalgic R&B perfection crafted by US band The E-Block. The musicians dwell in the space of soulful music, and their art is a sublime and warm wave of goodness, exactly what we all need in the cold and dark days of January.

Honestly, one of the most touching pieces of music I've had the pleasure of experiencing in a while, so to say I'm honoured to host the premiere of this tune would be an understatement.

"It’s a new year and a new song for our band, but we wanted Silver Girl to feel like an old memory. It opens super fuzzy – warm guitar, loping drums, whispery vocals – and builds to this lush, larger-than-life finish. Nostalgia the whole way, but always building and forward-looking through the very end.", share the five-piece comprised of Luke Pascarella (singer/guitarist), Dom Toma (drums) and James Soren (saxophone), Devin Tetlek (keys) and Joey Farber (bass).

Going back to "Silver Girl", the track feels like a time travel to the soul sound of the 60s and 70s, but with a modern twist. The build-up towards the end is a showcase of band's ability to build up their story and Luke's powerful vocals. Mark my words, you'll be in love.

If you're curious about band's history, they share "Way before it was the name of our band, the 'E-Block' was shorthand for the Rotterdam, New York neighborhood most of us grew up in. Back there, on the actual E-Block, we cut our teeth practicing in our garages and playing around at local bars. In the years since, the band's grown up a bit -- we've added new players, started playing farther from home -- but the original spirit of the band stays. We call ourselves The E-Block as a nod to where this whole thing started. When we're locked in on stage, it feels just like we're back in the neighborhood."
