Saturday starts with something fresh from the US.
The Lique are Las Vegas-based jazz hip hop band and their new single "The Lick" are one of the most uplifting things on the live instrumental hip hop scene I've stumbled upon lately. I love hip hop and beats and all that, but hearing actual instruments backing up Rasar (their frontman) vocals - priceless. The groove is insanely strong in this one!
Soul, jazz and hip hop heads will all find something to grab onto and before you realize - you'll be wrapped in the avant-garde world of "The Lick". The track is taken from their forthcoming album Times Like These and if you like what you hear - definitely dig deeper!
