As you probably know I'm always on the chase for good folk tracks, but, unfortunately, not a whole lot of them are coming my way. Luckily, London-based Tom Speight had something for me.
"Falling" is his most recent track off his upcoming Falling EP, and it's wonderful. The track is bright and summery, kind of your summer day in a song. It's a bit poppy, which gives this ease of listening, but it sure doesn't spoil it. The track is full of energy and all good things folk.
Scottish artist Rachel Sermanni was there to back the track with her vocals, and these two are very harmonic - their vocals work perfectly together.
Tom has been opening for a bunch of really great musicians (Fleet Foxes, Tom Odell) and I'm sure he's gonna go far.
