A collab made in heaven.

Bastelbande (DE) and Tree60 (IT) present their joint 4-track EP Transmission FM - a must-take pill for every soul and beat fan out there. Playful jazzy and funky vibes that will immediately put you in that Friday mood. I love how they upgrade the traditional beat structure with the use of guitar, piano and saxophone paired with laid-back vocals who accent throughout the song.

Bastelbande are near-Berlin-born André Meyer and Mathias Wilhelm who started the project in 2010 inspired by the sounds of early Bonobo albums, Thievery Corporation and Quantic - something one could easily pick in "Soul Transponder".

Tree60 is also someone you should pay attention to. The Italian beatmaker and producer has been around since 2000s and is definitely one of the champions of the old school sound. His jazz, lofi and boombap signature sound is sprinkled all over the EP.
