Hold On, We're Going Home

It'd be difficult to get more sombre than labelling yourself as funeral pop, but it's a label that Portland group Wild Ones seem to wear with some degree of pride. Personally, I'd liken their brand of downbeat optimism to bands like Bombay Bicycle Club or Los Campesinos!, but each to their own.

Aside from a string of stellar releases of their own, (check out their soundcloud page here) the guys have just released a sweet and funky future pop cover of Internet anti-hero Drake's song, 'Hold On, We're Going Home'. Taking the original and bathing it in popping guitar hooks and swathes of ambient synth feels like a no-brainer and Wild Ones make this one their own. I feel like this would be the perfect time to drop in one of my favourite pictures of Drake, so entertain yourselves with that, here.
