Jazz is absolutely a favourite genre of mine, esp that type we know from Alfa Mist. It's been a while since we've featured such tracks, so when I stumbled across "Custard Shoulder", it brought me some nostalgy and coziness.
WVR BVBY, a Melbourne based 8-piece jazz/funk band, bring the necessary ingredients for that stay-at-home weather. An outworldly composition, fusing so many instruments, you almost can't imagine.
Described as "a reflection upon a breakup… a tribute to a favourite childhood dessert, the comfort of a shoulder to lean on and the value of friendship within music", the track will certainly serve as a safe haven, whenever you need it.
