Japanese beatmaker AHNAMUSICA finally releases his debut album on our label called Wesing, and what a chill, jazz/hip-hop, sun-soaked bless it is.
"This release is a peaceful collection of 14 tracks, created with a sincere wish for peace in times like these. In a world filled with uncertainty, conflict, and emotional exhaustion, I wanted to create music that could offer even a small sense of warmth, calmness, and human connection.", he shares.
Created during a time of global uncertainty and division, Wesing ultimately offers a moment of hope and comfort in the simple act of listening together. Yesterday, before the official album release, we hosted an exclusive album listening party on Bandcamp, and it was wonderful to have such lovely people from across the globe join in, experience the album together, and share their thoughts. We're aiming to host more of these regularly, and we'd love to e-meet more of you, so keep an eye out (we usually announce them in our newsletter and on our Discord community page, which you can all join if you wish).
Back to the record. Shaped by AHNAMUSICA's lifelong love for vinyl records and years spent between Japan and Paris, Wesing flows like a series of small moments, familiar places, and passing memories. Its title reflects the project’s underlying message of togetherness, as it brings together 8 artists from across the globe - Metic, Matt Wilde, Kilgore Trout, Karen Kikuchi, R Ū, MJ the Sensei, moor no ie, and Garoo.
Hope you enjoy Wesing as much as we do. Find it on your preferred streaming platform here.
