When I think of the word symphonic, I usually think of really long concertos, fanciful attire, and a slight sense of boredom. However, Al Bairre's symphonic indie sound is nothing like that. They use it well, incorporating various classical instruments into their music. Their latest song "Solid Gold" makes use of a trumpet to back up some really cool vocal play. The horn really comes into play when the track takes an interesting turn about halfway through. The final product? An extremely fun, unique, and dance-able track.

Al Bairre is based out of South Africa. They combine the cello, violin, guitar, ukelele, and drums to make their signature symphonic indie sound. Their debut E.P. When I Was Tall is available for streaming and download on their Soundcloud.
