High 'n Dry

I hope everyone had the chillest, yet grooviest time during Easter (best of both worlds) and in case you didn't, I've got something that hits the mark.

Excited to share with you the 2nd Alexander IV single taken from his upcoming Tripping EP, released via our own label in May. In the 2nd single “High ‘n Dry” he sampled double bass, muted trumpets & captivating vocal samples for a majestic blend of trip-hop, jazz & beats with a rich percussion section. This feels like a trip back in time. Honestly, the perfect hazy afternoon soundtrack and given temperatures are rising, I guess this should be paired with a cold cocktail.

"I really loved making this Tripping EP. To be honest, maybe the most fun to make of all Alexander IV projects so far. It came together very natural. You can hear my love for old school triphop artists such as Kruder & Dorfmeister, combined with a modern approach. I was happy to be able work with friends on the EP, like the vocalists Leonard Luka and Puck Cézanne and sampled one of my friends’ double bass. So it kind of turned into a nice family affair.", Joris shares.
