As sweaty hot summer days are coming, why not chill with some refreshing tunes from the Icelandic band Árstíðir?

They are a chamber-pop quartet that started in 2008 from the far north and got international fame thanks to the youtube video in which they perform some Icelandic hymns in a German train station.

Musically speaking, Svefns og vöku skil (the one I took this excerpt from) was the record which presented them to the world. The album has two "big names" behind it - Ólafur Arnalds as a producer, and the German composer/producer Nils Frahm who did the mastering.

ps: if you are into Nordic folk, don't miss the occasion of seeing them live at this year' Icelandic Airwaves , with the company of Caribou, Flaming Lips, FM Belfast and many others.

Stay up to date.
