As Seas Exhale is a one man project from Florida, USA. It got my attention before I actually listened to the song. Stephen Craft's bancamp page together with the artwork is visually very well balanced with mellow green colors and just enough information about the essence of his project. I am not a post-rock expert but this was all the info I needed before I proceed to listening to the song :
"I like heavy tunes and chill tunes. I write both. This is my post rock project." - no more, no less.
I believe that the title of the song " The Healing Process" as well as the name of the project is something else that very skillfully capture the mood of the track. Basically the song is split in two - the first half drifts in slow motion, ambient style steadily gathering momentum. Then in the second part the "heavy tune" is slowly being built up. The pace gets faster and towards the end there is this vast, overwhelming emotional wave that sweep over your senses. In the end it slowly abates in tranquility.
"The Healing Process" is part of an upcoming album by As Seas Exhale and I am really excited about it!
