Guuuuuys, new Bonobo! Need I say more?

Simon Green aka Bonobo, has just dropped "Me and You," the lead single from his forthcoming eighth studio album Distance in Static, out September 11 on Ninja Tune. To say I'm excited is to say nothing, especially after actually listening to the new track (many times on repeat, I must confess). It sounds like this is going to be the summer dance anthem, and this is what I call club music.

I am also excited about the upcoming album, because it seems like this is a turning point in Bonobo's sound as we know it.

"It's probably the last go-around the track in this format… it's really about me redefining how to be a musician from here."

Green weaves historic Iranian samples and guzheng recordings into the production, with lyrics spanning English, Urdu, and Japanese. This will be a delight, mark my words.

And yes, we're instantly adding the record to our New Albums in 2026 List.
