Matching a feeling with a sound is an art form on its own.

In their first-ever collaboration together, David Cutter & RINZ. capture the feeling of longing for spring as the last remnants of winter melt. They navigate through the emotion with melodic guitars and emulate warmth with shakers and a record fuzz that adds to the gradually glistening atmosphere. 

There is a pause after the first minute, just for a couple of seconds. The sound resumes again with a “running” start, illustrated sonically by quick, alternating notes on the piano. I imagine the Netherland artists can’t wait to run into warmer weather and this is exactly how I want to go into summer: running.
