“Cross My Heart” is literally reminiscent to watching a flower gradually bloom by virtue of the delightful nature of the progression.
My attention was initially arrested by Ethan’s comforting vocals, to the point where I repeated the track a number of times in an attempt embalm the experience. The minimalist approach when it came to the production I thought was executed in a dainty manner, especially with the strings – guided by the subtle guitar - bestowing a cinematic flair throughout the track.
