Long summer days when the sun shines a little too brightly, a some-what hazy day at the beach, and all-around fun are some images that come to mind when listening to Brooklyn indie-poppers Ex-Cops. If the track "James" seems like something you've heard before, it might be because they sound like fellow New Yorkers The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. But not to worry, their bright and hazy sound is uniquely their own, no matter how much these two bands sound alike.

If you like what you hear, you can see them live! They're currently supporting the release of their debut album True Hallucinations and the band Local Natives as they travel the country opening for the famed indie-rock outfit. I, for one, will be seeing them this Tuesday. It's gonna be a show worth seeing, for both the headliner and the opening act!
