Japanese multi-instrumentalist (trumpet, guitar, piano) and vocalist is back to grace us with another beautiful single from her upcoming debut solo project Kyōdō, Pt. 1, dropping on May 26th. Meaning “collaboration” or “doing together” in Japanese, Kyōdō is a trilogy of EPs where Nahokimama & Stereofox invite producers and musicians from across the globe to shape each piece together, exploring how different artistic worlds intersect, overlap, and expand through shared creativity.

“Underpass”, created in collaboration with French bassist and producer Monsieur Teddy (they worked together on Kimama Beats, which we released on vinyl last year), feels like long summer nights, carefree moments, and slow sunny days. That dreamy, catchy melody really stuck with me, especially when it’s played in unison by different instruments. Moreover, Nahokimama’s trumpet playing shines through so beautifully, floating over soulful guitar lines, groovy bass, and warm keys & synths.

Such a beautiful, dreamy track – a must-add to your chill beats summer playlist. Listen on all major platforms here.

The Offline have announced a new project centered around reworks of beloved releases, one of them being SANITY’s version of “Un long été chaud.”

The Offline is a modern version of TV and film music from the 60s and 70s with an analog feel, reminiscent of those old funk and jazz albums hip-hop artists used to sample. It’s no surprise that SANITY’s remix feels like we’re listening to conscious hip hop from the late 90s and early 2000s, such as the Fugees and Lauryn Hill. Her flows are gripping, and we’re acquainted with palpable emotion through her delivery – making the performance all the more memorable. I can’t neglect to mention how the minimalist production creates the perfect space for her voice to command full attention in an elegant manner.

Back when Jacques Greene and Nosaj Thing linked up in 2023, I thought we’d just get a few singles. Now, three years later, they have an album to their name and more tracks still coming.

Verses GT is the world Jacques Greene and Nosaj Thing have created that encompasses live shows, visuals, and more. “Devoted” is their latest release and this tastefully balances dance-floor energy with an introspective sensation livened by wavey pads and emotive vocals. The punchy drums give this experience most of its vigor, along with this hypnotic synth line bouncing across the mix. From the hazy cover art, we really get the feeling of sorrow that mirrors the track’s bittersweet emotional core.

By now, you’ve probably realised Boyan is fluent in nearly all genres.

The extremely versatile producer has graced us with tracks varying from funk & disco, through neo-soul, house, all the way to instrumental jazzhop. And today, he’s bringing you some of the latter.

While he’s gearing up for a funk/disco album towards the end of 2026, in the next couple of months, he will bring some of his jazzy piano & chill, yet intricate beats, in the company of some of the scene’s finest.

The first single from the upcoming Sketches, Vol. 1 EP is called “Time For Us” and is together with Canadian trumpeter ØNEMOR3 (whom you’ve seen on the label on his album with Gabb.). The track is both chill & slightly melancholic, with warm horns, rich percussion groove, playful keys, and a surprising string touch. A truly outstanding piece.

Stream/buy “Time For Us” and pre-save Sketches, Vol. 1 EP here.

Impressive flow, a solid hip-hop drum groove, a gliding, boomy bass, and a loop that’s hard not to keep replaying.

“Non Stop” actually dates back to 2011, recorded as part of the sessions for The Element Of Surprise album. On par with the best moments of that album, this unreleased gem is possessed by Confidence’s use of boomin’ drums and piano/horn stabs, fluid cuts from DJ Technic, and Rashad’s smooth lyrical delivery. The result goes down as a spiritual sibling of the 90’s era hip-hop sound.

Rashad, the Brooklyn-based MC, brings that nimble, effortless flow, switching between tight, detailed bars and catchy hooks. On the production side, Boston-based Confidence does what he does best – chopping samples into something warm, punchy, and full of character, favouring that classic one-producer/one-MC dynamic of the golden years.

А proper throwback and fresh addition to your soulful hip-hop rotation.

A fresh jazzhop release made for hazy early-morning car rides through a waking city, study breaks, or slow after-work sunsets at home with a glass of wine. Sparkling keys weave around a beautiful saxophone melody, all laid over a dusty, slightly off-grid, behind-the-beat hip-hop groove.

Wipe True is a producer from Georgia who creates the perfect soundtracks for moments of relaxation, work, and contemplation, fusing lo-fi hip-hop, study beats, and chillhop into a warm, atmospheric symphony.

Tap into that solid ’90s old-school-style, head-bopping tune – a proper nod to the Golden Era of hip-hop. Built around an infectious bassline, a tight drum groove, and smooth, soulful keys, “What We’re Here 4” sets a strong tone for the intern’s upcoming album.

“What We’re Here 4 was born during a session w/ the man, the myth, the legend Kalla, and when dédé heard the tune, he knew exactly what he’d add to get the seasoning juuuuuuust right. Homage type-ish, to the aesthetic and sound of a place and an era,” they elaborate.

I’m sure I’m not the only one going crazy for this collaboration! Legendary underground producer Black Milk has teamed up with Saba for a soulful, laid-back experience on “OK… Nah”.

This release serves as the fourth single from his upcoming album CEREMONIAL. In this project, so far, we can tell we’ll be acquainted with Black Milk’s signature aesthetic, blending nostalgia with futuristic synths. On “OK… Nah” however, he has taken us on a journey that’ll have you reflecting on the golden era of hip hop with his production, and this is beautifully complemented by Saba’s gripping performance. The Chicago rapper offers food for thought as his songwriting leans towards conscious hip hop and introspection, adding an emotional weight to the nostalgic production. CEREMONIAL arrives on May 9th, officially making it his 15th studio album – what a career!

A few days ago, I discovered the magic of Baalti thanks to their new album, Threads, and I can’t get enough of their sound ever since.

Digging this old, but gold gam from 2022 titled “Marigold” in case you’re searching for a funky groove this upcoming Friday. Sprinkled with some South Asian flavors, the track is an instant feel-good remedy!

This next Wukah track sounds like the soundtrack of a stare competition with a black hole.

There isn’t much on the British producer, but one thing’s for sure – Gavin is a magician when it comes to manipulating sound and creating hypnotic melodies that made me realize, once more, how small we are in the vast premise of our universe. A blend of awe and hopelessness.

“Overwhelm” showcases Wukah’s instinct for restraint and atmosphere and will suck you in a whirlpool of emotions.
