"Tiliver" marks my first encounter with the work of Klöve, and on this release, the band has tastefully combined indie and jazz in such a colorful manner.
The four-piece from Norway can appeal to both your alt-rock dad and your kid on the drive home from school as they bridge the gap between nostalgia and modern indie. On the melodic section, "Tiliver" is adorned with this incredibly glossy lead synth, which drives the "hook" essentially, while the guitars scattered across the mix essentially guide the overall progression. In fact, we don't know what to expect at each turn of the track thanks to the vibrant nature of the drums introducing vibrant fills at a moment's notice. This is one of the singles leading up to Klöve's debut album, which is coming out on May 22nd.
