Okay. I don't know what's going on with 2020, but I can't believe I've come across such amazing music since the beginning of the year.
"Tides" is a pretty unusual one, because it's probably the first time I hear a blend of 2-step UKG-like beatwork, jazz harmonies & neo-soul vocals. And the London duo Last Exit is to blame. Shockingly, this is their debut release.
The airy guitars take you to an empty dark-sand beach, where you fuse with the waves. Feeling kinda melancholic, yet so good, wrapped with the intimate vocals. It's cold outside, but the beats and basslines warm you on the inside.
This track is here to stay.
