The Marvel Years project navigates the sounds of electronic-infused soul, funk, and blues music putting some bounce back in the classics.  Cory Wythe is the orchestrator behind the Marvel Years sound of heavy, soulfully-enhanced hiphop beats complemented by bluesy live guitar riffs. Wythe is a beatmaker we have our eyes on as he grinds out funky sounds like "Distant View" off of his 2016 release Bounce Back EP.

In the past years, he's shared the stage with some of the pioneers of electro hiphop soul and future funk like Pretty Lights and GRiZ as well as fellow up-and-comers like Manic Focus and fellow live beatmaker Artifakts, who he just topped off a regional US tour with.

Personally, this is the perfect track for the mid-winter for me. Berlin winter has its perks, but sunlight is not one of them, so I rely on funky beats like this to keep my flow lifted and up to a healthy pace. This track packs an arsenal of thick kicks and heavy bass synths brought to life by a satisfying selection of instrumentals giving us a representation of the Marvel Years sound.
