Ohio-born, Los Angeles-based linguist, producer, visual artist and vocalist megiapa makes jazz-influenced experimental beat music, and today she shares her debut full-length album, Intentions - a 40-minute masterclass in synth-heavy, jazz-informed neo-soul that invites listeners to dream beyond limitation and embrace uncertainty as a space for curiosity and reflection.
We chose to spotlight "Dreaming About You" for its deep bass, crunchy experimental synths, and beautifully layered vocal harmonies. What a masterpiece, quite different from anything you might have heard recently. I won't give too much away - just hit play and zone out into megiapa's dreamy, experimental, and bold neo-soul world.
