Her 2022 album OFFAIR: Mouth Full of Salt, especially the singles, was quite impactful throughout my life, and it's been beautiful to see which direction Niia goes in. "Been A Long Night" serves as one of the follow-ups to her bold jazz album V. Throughout this release, her vocal performance floats like a feather in the wind over blazing piano arrangements and uplifting drums. The chorus becomes so lush as her vocals intertwine, and eventually everything blooms into a beautifully layered moment that feels both intimate and energizing.
