Psylone is a talented French guitarist and producer, who embarked on his musical journey in recent years.
Drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Pandrezz and l'Indécis, he excels when it comes to blending groovy chillhop and lofi beats with neo-soul guitars. Antoine continues to evolve, influenced by a number of guitar-playing producers such as Berezy and Guidolain Beats and I can safely say - he's rising to the top. Last week Psylone dropped his new 4-track EP The Playground via freshgooodies and we had the pleasure of catching up a bit with him.
"With this EP I really wanted to create something that represents the lofi genre, but not only. I have picked from my different influences and tried to blend elements from chillhop, boombap hip-hop or jazzhop, with the guitar as the main element because it is the instrument I play the most and I have composed almost everything with it. I had so much fun making these beats, and I felt sometimes like a carefree child again, as I was sitting in my home studio playing with my instruments. I also felt like the tracks had a light and easygoing mood, and that's why I came up with "The Playground" in reference to those days when I was a kid. Each track is a nod to a specific souvenir of my youth or emotions I've been through.", shares Psylone.
When asked when is the best place to experience The Playground, Antoine elaborates - "Since the tracks are quite upbeat and energetic, I think they are a good match for setting a dynamic and positive mood, for example in early evenings during a short drink or a dinner with friends, for any creative and artistic activity, or even a sports session!"
