Meet Aussie producer, Roland Tings (aka Rohan Newman) and his vibrant new release "Up Close" - a glowing, electro-tinged clubby track with the warmth and vibe of artists like Caribou and Four Tet. I've been spinning this for the past few days and that inner rave feeling has been slowly waking up. I could see myself dancing in the early hours of the day to this beauty. The vocals Rohan used are absolutely staggering and the whole thing has such a beautifully captivating build-up. Honestly, this encompasses everything I love about electronic music.

When it comes to creating "Up Close", he shares...

I knew that I needed a really euphoric track in the first half of the record to propel the LP forwards. When I heard the original vocal by Alyss, I knew that it was perfect for what I wanted. The production of her voice was psychedelic, and the lyrics fit with exactly what I wanted the record to say. So, I locked myself down in the studio for an afternoon and started tinkering with using the vocal for my own track. Once I got going it just all came out in one burst.”
