On his latest release, "Care," Saive steps into breakbeat territory for the first time, and the rhythm complements his style of melodic house so beautifully.
Even though "Care" seems like a new direction for Saive, I love that he has kept his signature sound intact, creating a fascinating middle ground between familiarity and novelty. The aspects that give the track its fierce, punchy weight is certainly the hard-hitting rhythm section and the bass line. I love how the latter opens up and becomes grittier over time, especially right before the climax towards the closing moments. The huge, atmospheric synth ushers life into the mix over the glistening pianos, making for an ending that feels quite rich and cinematic.
