"Lost in Nostalgia" was my first introduction to Tasha Angela, and the track presented us with an upbeat atmosphere heavily influenced by the sounds of disco. In her latest EP Hidden Gems, we're actually acquainted to a lot of slow jams and "Elated" is certainly one of the stand out gems.
The vocals are imbued with an air of innocence and youth, partly because her words literally paint the quintessential picture of being young and in love. I can't neglect to mention her gripping choice of vocal melodies which are further complimented by the culmination of instruments within the chorus. I'm talking about roaring guitars dripping wet with reverb and these mellow drums that carry the rhythm of the in a soothing manner.
