This is the first time we've featured Chicago-based singer/songwriter/producer and chef Via Rosa here on Stereofox. She's been on my radar for a while, and her steady influx of new compositions, covers and reworks has certainly perked my ears.

Working closely with some of Chicago’s brightest young talents, including Nosidam, Ben Hixon and production team Thempeople, she has a sound that doesn't fit into one particular box, and for that reason, every time she drops something new, we're always a little intrigued.

Over a recent Twitter exchange, Via tells me that she’s currently readying the release of a new album, which I'm told will be dropping in a few months.

Until then, however, wrap your ears around her rework of Jennah Bell's 3hrs and 59minutes. Sure you’ll agree, she does an excellent job of reimagining Bell's charming track.
