Ezra Collective is a truly vital part of the UK jazz scene, making the genre intriguing and accessible. They push it forward by constantly experimenting, improvising, and blending jazz with afrobeats, Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and soul.

Their 3rd album Dance, No One's Watching dropped today. A celebration of life, it pays tribute to the colourful London city, its diversity of people & rhythms. The record is also an attempt to capture the energy of Ezra Collective's live performances, featuring stage intros, interludes, and audience sounds, emulating the experience of being at their shows. All 19 songs (including one intro & 4 short interludes) are joyous & empowering - but also take us through a full night out, with its ups and downs.

Previous singles "God Gave Me Feet For Dancing" (with London soulstress Yazmin Lacey), "Streets Is Calling" (feat. M.anifest & Moonchild Sanelly), and "Ajala" gave us a delightful teaser on the sound of their new LP, transcending jazz and taking us to the global dancefloors. Ezra Collective's drummer Femi Koleoso explains, "This record is the documentation of travelling the world with the band. And, one of the things that became rocket fuel during that time was the crazy feeling of making people dance.”

The focus track of the album "Palm Wines" is an homage to West African culture with its intoxicating rhythms, bright horns & playful guitars. But the slower/smooth gem "No One's Watching" (with London singer Olivia Dean) is also absolutely worth diving into.

You don't need to be a jazz fan to enjoy this record - quite the opposite. It's bringing people from various cultural & musical backgrounds together.
