The five-piece outfit from Toulouse, France KiD WISE have coined the description of the music they do - pop-sauvage and juvenile. "Hope" is a brilliant synth-pop tune, combining youthful dynamic and melancholia, which gradually evolves throughout its five-something minutes towards an abundant musical explosion. The track is a part of the formation's second EP Renaissance, expected on September 30.

Just as memorable as the song is the video, a remarkable short film directed by Truman & Cooper. The plot revolves around intimate obsession, friendship and vile disobedience set in rural France. The opposition between the title ("Hope") and the actual hopelessness in the visual story, along with the disturbing controversy between the romantic poetry of youth and the raw, violent display, elevate the format way above the teenage-love-and-heartbreak cliche.
