Origins. We all have them and whether we like it or not, very often they shape who we are today and what we will be in the future. Just like everything else, our music-self has its origins too. Why am I mentioning this word so often? Well, today I want to share with you a new initiative started by Resident Advisor (probably there's no need to introduce what they do) who partnered up with SONOS in order to release a four-part film series where they explore the path of few notorious electronic music artists!

I've floated between many scenes and genres and at the end it is nice to evolve from being strictly focused on one niche music to ... being able to embrace music and the variety it offers. With all that being said, people change and the passion for sounds often fluctuates between different genres. I see nothing bad in that. My personal opinion is that it gets boring if you get stuck with a genre. There's enough cool stuff out there to explore and luckily, the Internet has made it possible for you and me to discover them. Then again - just my 2 cents.
After these ramblings maybe is time to share the video which sparkled it.
The idea is pretty rad as many of the stories we'll reveal about each artist won't have been told before. Besides jumping back in time, the four featured artists - Chris Liebing, Eats Everything, Magda and Matthew Dear will be curating special playlists for the #Origins project. Each list corresponds to a special room. Chris' playlist called "Lounge" is purely brilliant! Submerge in the music of Boards Of Canada, The Cure, Joy Division, mr. Johnny Cash, Nightmares On Wax and...
