March 2013

There are a lot of good pop punk bands these days, but just a few great ones. The Story So Far is definitely one of the better ones. These five dudes from California, who I think named their band after a New Found Glory song, released a solid full length record in 2011 - Under Soil and Dirt through Pure Noise Records. I loved that album and especially the song "Quicksand", it was on repeat for days.

Now The Story So Far is back with their sophomore effort - What You Don't See which will be released on the 26th of March, again on Pure Noise Records. A lot of great albums came out this year, and I'm sure this one will end on many Best Of 2013 lists as well. "Empty Space" is the third uncovered track from What You Don't See, after "Right Here" and "The Glass" and in my opinion is the best one so far.

The Story So Far makes pop punk how it should be done, on the verge of becoming a hardcore band, full of emotion and intensity. I can't wait to hear the whole record, but for now this is the video for "Empty Space". Enjoy!
