Mike Hadreas a.k.a. Perfume Genius has released a video for "Fool" - the third track off his September-released Too Bright LP. The new clip continues the white-suit-wearing provocative surrealism of previously released "Queen" and "Grid", garnished with a significant dose of confusing, almost uncomfortable humor - from praying to a little yellow duckling to lap dancing in golden roller blades.

The track itself has an almost 1950s feel to it, with its finger snapping and back-up vocals. Reconfirming Mike's inclination to original song composition, it uncovers a three-part structure, reflected by the music video. The song starts off heavily synthed, while Handreas roller-blades into the grocery store with the creepiest clerk in the world. Then comes the peculiar Prayer to the Duckling, thematically accompanied by organs and echoing vocals, which transforms into an unlikely audition, arranged with piano and saxophone. And there are also people dressed as crows all over the place.

Stay up to date.
