PHOX is a bunch of friends from the Midwestern circus hamlet, Baraboo, WI, a place where kids often drink poisoned groundwater and become endowed mutants. They make music that straddles Feist and Monty Python.
That sounds like a proper start of band introduction right? Carrying the edgy-ness you feel above coloured with some indie folk vibes, the guys from Phox will lullaby your soul with some beautiful melodies! "1936" makes me feel in one of those 70's movies where boys and girls go to the ice cream show on their first date, if that... makes any sense?
The track is part of band's debut EP which was released this summer via Partisian Records.
