The Frankfurt duo Blair / Huber are back with an electrifying new piece featuring percussionist Khadim Seck, teasing their upcoming debut album ECLIPSE, due October 16th.
Beautifully stripped-back, "TITAN" relies on nothing more than saxophone, electric guitar, percussion, and their magic. That rich saxophone tone drew me in from the very first note and didn't let go, playing around with different intensities and the listener's expectations. Meanwhile, the rhythm section holds everything together with a beautiful, calm, drone-like pulse. A meditative listening experience that doesn't really need many more words - just sit back and let yourself get lost in it.
