"Cycling" is the lead single from drummer and producer Efajemue’s upcoming album, FLOW (out Nov 5th). Featuring long-time collaborators Julian "J3PO" Pollack on keys and Francisco Ojeda on electric bass, this dynamic track takes listeners on a journey fueled by brooding drum grooves, lush synths, and thumping bass. I was fully impressed by its infectious rhythmic drive, the interplay between the three musicians, and the absolutely flawless musicianship on display.
Behind Efajemue is Los Angeles-based drummer, producer, and educator Efa Etoroma Jr., whose impressive musical background spans collaborations with artists including Moonchild, Sensae, Common Souls, and BRNSTRM. Known for his stylistic versatility and expressive playing, he also shares his expertise as an educator at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, alongside teaching songwriting and music production at Citystage LA and contributing to the online music education website Soundfly.
