King Billy is a collective of hailing from Tasmania and I believe its the first time we feature anyone from the island. The musicians blend together soulful sounds into a stream of beat-driven music. Rhythmic and relaxed, the source of their sound comes from spontaneous jam sessions, eventually reworked into full-length tracks.
"Bobba Fat" is one of the tracks on their debut album King billy released via our friends at DeepMatter. Inspired by the soul, jazz and hip hop scene in their hometown Hobart, the guys have done outstanding job creating something truly unique.
