We now live in a world where glitch hop artists are composing whole orchestras. Among the more legendary names in glitch and intense sound design is the Bristol-based duo KOAN Sound. Their recent, highly anticipated album Polychrome lays down a whole exhibition of their production abilities, while effortlessly speaking on behalf of their affinity for organic music.

In a recent Reddit AMA, the duo gave some snare production tips, including achieving acoustic drum textures that can receive light or heavy doses of sound processing. In the track "Chalk It Out", they show us what a healthy balance between the organic and electric sounds like featuring fellow Bristol producer Chalky on the guitar. This track lays down a tasty shuffle groove alongside jazz instrumentation to make you wonder how jazz could sound so filthy, yet so clean.
