Lavender Beat Collective is a collective of musicians from the U.S., Africa, Brazil, and India. A wonderful and mesmerizing fusion of some of the world's best sound cultures.
The group, which collaborates virtually, shares a lush and groovy new single titled "Take Care". Twice a week, the artists meet online to record, produce, and mix the tracks together. The beauty of the Internet.
The project was created by our friend SAÍGO (AKA Tien Nguyen) while on his travels around the globe. On the way from Bulgaria to Vietnam, Tien and his wife found themselves at the Ganga River Guest House and Music School on the banks of the sacred Ganges River. Within days, he became the student of Manish Nishad, a bansuri (classical Indian bamboo flute) flutist who grew up in the guest house learning from his father, tabla master Kailash Nishad. Manish is also a protégé of world-renowned bansuri guru Pt. Rupak Kulkarni.
Following a month of daily instruction, the student successfully transitioned into the role of a producer. Tien unpacked his portable studio and enlisted Manish to record a solo for "Take Care," a track with a self-care theme that showcased recordings by Max MacVeety on drums, Samson Olawale on percussion, Cooper Appelt on bass, Jason Kearse on keys, and Shea Springer on guitar.
Travel the world within a few minutes thanks to this beautiful gem, which is today's reason to love music.
