The latest release from Makzo, "Orizuru" acquaints us with a more melancholic side of his taste, especially thanks to the gloomy piano progression and airy soundscape.

Recently, Makzo unveiled that on May 22nd, he'll be releasing his sophomore album, Pavement, via PLYGRND, and "Orizuru" marks the second single from the project. This track is characterized by crunchy yet hard-hitting drums that could even be suitable for a Wu-Tang Clan record. However, this is beautifully contrasted in the melodic portion with soft pads and glossy pianos that float above the rhythm like morning mist over a jagged city skyline. This imagery complements the visual aesthetic of cityscapes that is attached to the rollout of Pavement.
