Presenting a debut for our label and a true jazz bliss - French trumpet player Paxkalito and his double single "The Dreamer / Morning Mist" - part of his upcoming EP Follow Me in collaboration with keyboardist Albert Miguez, out on July 1st.
Inspired by the legacy of the Miles Davis Quintet, the project leans into muted trumpet melodies with a splash of nostalgia, flugelhorn textures, and slow-burning grooves, shaped like modern jazz standards.
"Each track is a conversation between the trumpet and the keyboard, with the bass and drums holding down the groove, just like a jazz band playing in a club, but with a lofi beats touch" - shares Paxkalito.
