My all-time most played artist, Tycho, grants us yet another beautiful ethereal experience, this time featuring Sea Lemon's alluring vocals, and I'm all in for it. A collaboration that feels both dreamy and inspiring. The track was co-produced by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor and follows Scott Hansen’s collaboration with Paul Banks of Interpol, released last October.

The pair shared a screenshot of their first communications, which made me feel a little part of this whole experience. "hi!!! i'm a huge longtime fan and listener of your music! absolute inspiration for my won work," Sea Lemon (real name Natalie Lew) DM-ed to Scott. An example, which is to encourage everyone out there to be bold and follow their dreams. You never know who is listening/will reply.

I've covered Tycho extensively, so I would like to spotlight the talent of Sea Lemon. Sea Lemon is the musical project of Seattle-based artist Natalie Lew, known for her dreamy, introspective take on indie pop and bedroom pop. Her sound blends soft vocals, shimmering guitar textures, and hazy, nostalgic production that often feels both intimate and atmospheric.

If that's the first time you've heard that name, I urge you to go and explore her catalog. Her debut album, Diving For A Prize (2025), is a must-hear.

On the collab, Scott elaborates, "I was driving late one night on a road trip through the California Central Valley when I first heard Sea Lemon’s music. ‘Eraser’ came on and immediately clicked; I think I listened to ‘Close Up’ about four times in a row. I started imagining Natalie’s vocals on this new song I had been working on; the lush textures felt like a perfect match for the sound. So at the next stop, I reached out and sent some demos. I was really happy when she picked the particular song I had in mind; that’s usually a good sign."
